As an inclusive charity run by volunteers we welcome everyone’s help, all you need is an interest in helping farmland birds. There are lots of ways you can make a difference:
-
Bird surveys: Are you a keen or novice birder? To help us monitor our West Oxfordshire sites monthly from December to March, we’d welcome your skills. We record the farmland birds spotted at our sites on BTO BirdTrack and we developed our survey method in conjunction with TVERC.
-
Feeding: Do you live near one of our West Oxfordshire feeding sites? Our volunteers tell us how much they enjoy making a difference by feeding the birds once a week.
-
New community sites: Might your community set up your own site to help farmland birds? We can help with plenty of advice to get you started.
-
Co-ordinating: As the project expands, we are always on the lookout for people who could help to organise elements of the project, run feeding rotas & help with design skills.
